Our purpose

Fenchurch Law is a business driven by passion and purpose.

Our firm was established on a simple but passionately held belief that it was time to level the playing field for insurance policyholders. For decades, financially powerful insurers have had both the ability to contest huge numbers of high value disputes at any one time and to access to high quality legal advice, while policyholders have traditionally been less well represented and have had to turn to non-specialist solicitors for advice. These generalist solicitors may not understand the intricacies of the insurance market and may fail to navigate the complexities required to deliver the best possible outcome to their clients. There has been an inequality of arms between insurers and almost every policyholder for far too long, and our expert lawyers are determined to level the playing field, delivering high quality specialist and expert legal advice exclusively to policyholders.

All our efforts and energies are directed towards one purpose, which is always to act in the policyholder’s best interests. That purpose is what defines us, motivates us and drives us forward every day. We have built a business that is dedicated to a single, unchanging purpose that is both simple and endlessly complex.

Underpinning our purpose are our five guiding principles. These are fundamental to how we work with our clients and how we behave as a business. All of our actions, individually and as a business, are guided by these principles:

Customer care

We unfailingly act in the policyholder’s best interests and deliver the highest quality legal advice and dispute resolution

Innovation

We are relentless in our desire to find new solutions to existing problems and to continually innovate and progress

Fresh thinking

There is no ‘one size fits all approach’ – we assess every case carefully and individually to determine the best possible solution and outcome

Continual learning

The world of risk and risk mitigation is constantly evolving and we are at the leading edge of the emerging risk landscape, continually learning and progressing

Courtesy and respect

The most modern of law firms still require traditional values and we treat clients, partners, colleagues, and opponents, with warmth, courtesy and respect
