- Acting for Swedish subsidiary of Fortune 500 US corporation in claim against UK based hydraulic modellers arising out of losses caused by the failure of a pumping station which provided drinking water to 1/3 of the population of Shanghai
- Acting for Claimant charity in claim against two firms of accountants acting as independent examiners arising from their failure to discover misappropriations from the Charity’s funds
- Acting for major US utility Claimant assured in multi $m claim against their Lloyd’s brokers for failing to maintain subscribing market details relating to a policy placed on behalf of assured in 1960s
Public liability
- Acting for world leading offshore crane management contractor in relation to £1.75m claim by a major oil company, arising out of catastrophic parts failures in one of the Claimant’s cranes
- Acting for insurers in relation to numerous personal accident claims, ranging from low value volume claims to fatalities
Insurance
- Advising insurers in relation to the full spectrum of coverage issues including non-disclosure, misrepresentation, breach of warranty, & breach of condition precedent
- Acting for insurer in claim against assured solicitor for prejudice caused by late notification of PI claim, and as advocate obtaining summary judgment in contested application
- Acting for terminally ill assureds in claims for indemnity under medical insurance policies
- Acting for various US corporate assureds in the presentation of claims (including IBNR) to insolvent London Market insurers
