Professional Risks
Too often, professional indemnity insurers treat policyholders as opponents rather than customers, routinely imposing reservations of rights instead of providing support. At Fenchurch Law, we are committed to levelling the playing field between policyholders and insurers and ensuring that valid claims are paid promptly and in full.
Our Professional Risks practice group is led by Fenchurch Law Partner Jonathan Corman. Jonathan and his team of specialist solicitors represent professionals of all types and across all sectors, in businesses large and small.
Before joining Fenchurch Law to concentrate on representing policyholders, every member of our Professional Risks team had worked in the professional indemnity insurance market, either as claims adjusters, claims brokers or solicitors advising professional indemnity insurers. Our experience in and understanding of the professional indemnity market is unique among policyholder-focused insurance specialists and allows us to efficiently and cost-effectively identify and deliver the best possible solutions and outcomes for our clients.
We act exclusively for policyholders pursuing claims for indemnity against their insurers and for uninsured policyholders defending claims made against them. Our client base is extensive and diverse and includes:
- Accountants
- Architects
- Engineers
- Financial Advisers
- Insolvency practitioners
- Insurance brokers
- Solicitors
- Surveyors
Some clients choose to involve us from the very start, and we provide strategic advice before a claim under a policy is made to minimise the risk of the insurer disputing cover, including providing strategic advice about how to present a notification in order to maximise policy coverage and speed up the settlement process.
