Resolving Coverage Disputes Without Damaging Commercial Relationships

The session will invite the audience to reflect on different types of coverage disputes that often arise, under the headings of Underwriting at Claims Stage, Breach of Policy Terms, and Scope of Cover disagreements. It will discuss the issues that often need to be resolved in relation to those three dispute types, and the challenges that they present in maintaining the triangular commercial relationships between broker, policyholder, and insurer. Finally, the session will look at different approaches to resolving those issues, and suggest strategies for doing so in a way that minimises relationship damage.
