Fenchurch Advocacy Services

At Fenchurch Law, we are committed to the success of our insurance broker partners, with whom we stand shoulder to shoulder as we work together to achieve the best possible client outcomes.

Fenchurch Advocacy Services is a non-legal insurance consultancy and advocacy service that we offer to brokers, which has been designed to replicate the high quality, specialist claims advocacy currently only offered by the ‘big 3’ brokers and the nationals.

Our flexible and innovative service offers brokers access to an ACII-qualified and chartered status insurance claims practitioner, who will provide expert support, advice and assistance on claims-related issues, for a fixed monthly fee.

We launched the consultancy and advocacy service to complement and support brokers’ in-house teams, sharing or carrying the workload to assist your Account Executives if they are managing the issues, or supplementing the existing resource and capabilities of brokers’ Claims teams.

There are two levels of service to allow brokers to select a package that matches their requirements and meets all of their team’s needs. Both service packages are provided on a rolling annual contract, subject to 3 months’ notice of termination on either side, for the fixed monthly fee shown below.

Level 1 – Consultancy – £500 plus VAT per month

This is a desktop advisory response service, designed to support brokers with claims-related issues on which they require guidance or a second opinion. Our level 1 service package includes:

  • Initial coverage assessment (this is distinct from our existing enquiry service which relates to coverage disputes once the insurer has made their decision)
  • Initial notifications – which policies do you need to notify?
  • Guidance on interpretation or application of policy wordings, schedules or endorsements
  • Assistance on claim presentation / settlement / resolution
  • View on liability where you or your client dispute an insurer’s decision
  • Advice on challenging reserves / quantum and insurer’s philosophy on file closure
  • Initial triage assessment of CCEs / claims listings
  • Assistance with disease claims and advice on tracing missing EL cover

Level 2 – Consultancy and Advocacy – £1000 plus VAT per month (plus disbursements charged at cost)

Our level 2 service package includes all level 1 services outlined above, with the addition of an advocacy service in the event that brokers or their clients require:

  • Visits to clients
  • Assisting brokers and/or their clients with enquiries by loss adjusters or solicitors
  • Liaison with insurers or other parties
