Insurance disputes
Insurance dispute resolution is our passion and purpose and, at Fenchurch Law, we have unrivalled expertise in this area. We act only for policyholders, never insurers, and so our specialist solicitors are uniquely positioned to guarantee a conflict-free approach.
We work predominantly (although not exclusively) with corporate policyholders of all sizes and across all industry sectors. We are resolute in our commitment to provide each and every one of our clients with access to the highest quality strategic legal advice before a dispute arises and, if a coverage dispute is unavoidable, we work closely with our clients to help resolve it as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
When significant losses occur, some clients prefer to involve us from the very start. We often provide strategic advice before a claim under a policy is made in order to minimise the risk of the insurer disputing the claim, including advising about how to present the claim in order to maximise policy coverage and speed up the settlement process.
Where a claim has already been declined in full or in part, our specialist insurance lawyers will initially assess the situation and provide advice on the underlying merits of a claim against the insurer. Where required, our solicitors can then provide guidance as to how best to resolve any coverage dispute that arises. If it becomes necessary, we will then issue proceedings in order to compel the insurer to pay a claim.
At whatever stage of a case Fenchurch Law becomes involved, we always work proactively to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients. Our experience in and understanding of the insurance industry is unique among policyholder focused insurance specialists. Our expert solicitors understand the commercial relationships between policyholders, insurers and brokers and we do everything possible to ensure that insurance disputes are resolved in a way that preserves and strengthens the long-term value of those important relationships.
