Chloe is an Associate Solicitor specialising in coverage disputes and is based in our Leeds office.
Before joining Fenchurch Law, Chloe was a Technical Claims Manager at a nationwide insurance broker dealing with all aspects of insurance claims, including liability and coverage disputes. Prior to her broking background, Chloe handled liability claims for a number of major insurers.
Chloe studied at Northumbria University where she completed the LLB and went on to complete a Masters in Law alongside the LPC. Chloe is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Joanna leads Fenchurch Law’s Construction & Property Risks team, advising policyholders in high-value commercial coverage disputes relating to all types of property risks including under Commercial Property Policies and Building Defect Guarantee Policies. Her practice area includes a Financial & Commercial Risks element, including in particular advising on Trade Credit and Warranty and Indemnity Policies.
Joanna joined Fenchurch Law in 2016 after 18 years at Allen & Overy, where she gained broad experience in complex multi-jurisdictional proceedings and arbitrations acting for financial institutions and global corporates, including advising policyholders on political risk, crime, and D&O policies.
Joanna graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA (Hons) degree in Oriental Studies and a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, before completing her CPE and LPC. She is a member of the British Insurance Law Association, the Society of Construction Law and Women in Property.

Amy advises on coverage under a wide range of first party and liability insurances, with a focus on Construction and Property Risks. She has experience of litigation, arbitration and alternative forms of dispute resolution, arising from residential developments, commercial property, engineering projects, infrastructure and hotels.
Amy has specialised in representing policyholders on insurance claims for over 15 years, often involving international risks, across a variety of industry sectors. Joining Fenchurch Law as a partner in 2016, she has acted for owners, contractors, consultants, asset managers, financial institutions and high net worth individuals on recoveries under property, construction, business interruption, public liability, management liability, crime/fidelity and professional indemnity policies.
In Legal 500, Amy is ranked as a Next Generation Partner – Insurance Litigation: For Policyholders.
Amy sits on the Insurance Committee of the British Property Federation. She is a member of the British Insurance Law Association, Society of Construction Law and Association of Insurance Risk Managers in Industry & Commerce.

Anthony is a Senior Associate Solicitor specialising in coverage disputes with a particular focus on property losses and commercial/financial risks.
Anthony began his career as a trainee at BLM, acting for insurers in coverage and liability disputes in relation to construction, professional negligence and EL/PL matters. He then moved to Edwin Coe as an Associate and focused on property and business interruption coverage disputes with insurers. His work often included: misrepresentation and non-disclosures; breaches of conditions and warranties; claims in which there were accusations of fraud or dishonesty.
Anthony studied law at Sussex University before completing his LPC at BPP (Holborn). Anthony is a member of the British Insurance Law Association and the Law Society’s Junior Lawyers Division.

Associate Partner, Alex, works predominantly in our Property Risks team, assisting the partners with the day-to-day running of cases, as well as managing his own caseload. He is also actively involved in the firm’s business development activities, including delivering training and seminars for brokers, publishing articles and newsletters and building relationships with existing and potential introducers of work.
Alex has a solid grounding in coverage disputes, with experience including professional indemnity claims, property damage and business interruption. Alex joined Fenchurch Law in 2017 from Elborne Mitchell, a busy litigation practice in the heart of the London insurance market. He trained with BPS Law in Manchester, specialising in policyholder coverage work.
Alex graduated from the University of Birmingham with a law degree in 2009, before completing an LPC at the College of Law. He is a member of the British Insurance Law Association and the Society of Construction Law.

Insurance Consultant, Phil, has over 35 years’ experience in the insurance industry, is ACII qualified and holds Chartered Status with the Chartered Insurance Institute. He joined Fenchurch Law in 2020, after 15 years at Beaumonts / Jelf Insurance Brokers where he was Regional Claims Director dealing with a wide portfolio of clients, major and complex losses and coverage disputes on first and third party claims. Prior to broking, Phil’s background was Liability Loss Adjusting specialising in EL, PL, Products and Professional Indemnity claims.
His key role is leading Fenchurch Advocacy Services; he also assists our solicitors with case work and deals with new enquiries. Phil is a member of the Insurance Institute of Leeds.
